Michigan Neighborhood Partnership (MNP) is a non-profit, non-partisan, multicultural 501 (c) (3) corporation founded in 1993 to build collaborations and community-based partnerships to serve families in Metropolitan Detroit is still committed to its basic mission.  MNP was the brainchild of the Late Eddie Edwards and Charlene Turner Johnson and a diverse group of individuals and organizations representing the Latino, Arab American, African American, state government and the University of Michigan.  The partnership believed that community development through collaboration was a workable model for revitalization.

Today Michigan Neighborhood Partnership is a national model for faith and community based collaborations.  Since 1993 Michigan Neighborhood Partnership has leveraged over 100 million dollars for faith and community based organizations in the Metropolitan Detroit area.  As an intermediary we seeks to develop or identify program models that can be implemented or replicated across cultural and neighborhood boundaries.

The staff of MNP is committed to service and empowering individuals, in faith, neighborhood and community-based organizations to enhance their mission through collaborations, technical assistance, resource development, program design and community-based conversations centered around children, families and neighborhoods.
